My first story contest is over. Just as a refresher, I'm repeating the details:
Story subjects are limited to magic transformations
Size is limited to 20K maximum (a bit soft on the limit!)
Contest entries due by Saturday, February 5 at midnight, CST
Contest winner gets a starring role in an original Bikini Beach story. (Contest winner gets to specify general theme of story, and will have editorial review prior to publication.)
All entries will be posted on Elrod's
Winning entry and the prize story will be featured on Elrod's, as well as shared via the lists.
Stories may (and are encouraged to) use Elrod as a subject of the transformation (optional - no points will be taken off for this one :)
I was somewhat disappointed to get only two entries, but both were good. And Bashful gave me a story at the same time, but declined to enter it
in the contest. (He didn't want to compete with Julie. Understandable, and quite noble.)
Both stories were entertaining and enjoyable for me to read. In the end, I'm quite glad there were only a couple of entries, as judging more would
have been quite problematic. (Next time, I'll enlist some help.) In the end, I chose Julie as the winner.
(And, in case some of you wonder, it was NOT because it was a BB story. The contest was not biased toward BB tales.)
