I realized I hadn't updated the intro note on my site - I've
been bypassing it and going directly to other pages. Oops. So I'm rectifying that mistake.
Writing at Bikini Beach has resumed, with a few important caveats. Any and all stories
set in this universe of mine must be approved by myself, Ellie Dauber, or Radioactive Loner.
If I'm not available (another break or travel or whatever), Ellie and RL volunteered to help
keep the beach open. And so the writing - and captioned pics - are now sort of open.
I have a lot of BB tales to write, and they are starting to rattle around in my brain again.
Which means that I'm going to have to write again, before they subvert my little grey cells.
On top of that, I've added a "You Write the Caption" area to the beach. Stop by, see the
images, and add YOUR own caption - or short story.
I appreciate all the support I got - it helped a LOT in getting through a very tough year
and the pain of nit-picky thoughtless critics. I realize I have to have the Beach open,
to be creative both for myself and for others. While I could shutter Bikini Beach forever,
it wouldn't be fair, either to myself or to those who love to read and write in that magical
water park. And so, it's back fully open. All I ask is that, if you write, follow the
guidelines in the BB pages. And get approval. I've already asked the FM Task Force to
check before accepting a BB story.
